Traditional lactate biosensors face issues such as low stability and poor performance. The commercial enzyme supply is limited to just two types, and while there are various brands and formulations, they all use the same enzyme variants. These preparations often include up to 80% additives, which reduces specificity and complicates manufacturing consistency. Achieving precise results, especially near threshold limits and over extended periods, is challenging. We address these issues by introducing recombinant enzymes, genetically optimized towards analytical performance.
